Great site!
I am curious to hear others basis of beliefs in the paranormal.
I do believe in the spirit world, and that those spirits sometimes co-exist here with us, only on a different plane. I have had no experences with that world,(or at least that I am aware of) I do believe you can open yourself up to it. This is in no way any judgement as I am sure there are those who have these experences and have not in any way open up or ask it to be revealed to them.
I have had a conversation reciently with a friend about this subject. I believe our loved ones whom have passed over still see & look over us here. Do I have proof? No of course not.
Then my friend asked me,"What would you do if a departed loved one physically materialized in front of you?" "Probably have a coronary!" I replied.
In all seriousness, I really don't know what I would do exactly. I guess I would probably try to figure out why or if reoccouring, why now ? Much like some orb pics I cannot explain, I do believe there is a reason for everything that happens-we may not know why at this time, but within time all will be revealed.
It's kinda like some of the old buildings here in town. A few of them are over 150 years old and now in ruin.
I love these old buildings-they have so much great character and history! Yet as many time I have been there, I won't go inside alone. Granted, the safety issues if something did happen. But in all honestly....They give me the creeps! And it's this I have been trying to decipher why exactly. It feels like being on sacred ground to be in the midst of these buildings.( If these walls could talk, what history they would tell!) Is it a heightened sensetivity or just plain fear? It's just a building-there is nothing to be afraid of. Or are we simply programmed from our upbringing to fear the unknown? (i.e. watching scary movies.) I don't know. I do know that usually in the quest for those answers, we usually find out something we didn't know about ourselves. And maybe thats where the answer lies. Just my thoughts.
So my question would be what are your beliefs in the paranormal? Feel free to comment or reply. Thanks Paul
